- Musée Gallo-Romain de Fourvière
The sightseeing is nice because the museum is located next to the antic theater on Fourvière hill. The museum is full of history and artefacts from the roman empire. Really great for those who like history!
- Musée de l’imprimerie
As you can see on the picture, this is all about printing history and techniques. It is amazing to see how the first printing machines used to work and how genius were the inventors back then. It is also about art and some graphics, although not a too big museum so you don’t need a whole afternoon.
- Institut Lumière
Lyon is also famous because the two Lumière brothers did much for improving the techniques of making movies. There is a museum about it as so as an archive room, useful for old documents and old newspapers articles about a movie or an actor!
- Musée des Tissus et des Arts Décoratifs
This is a good place if you like fabrics and colors. Lyon is famous for silk work and tissues.
- Maison des Canuts
Les Canuts were the people in the industry of tissue in Lyon back then. Lyon was really famous nationwide and worldwide for its fabric. They also supplied the royal court. You cannot go to Lyon without having a look at this part of the city’s history!
